General Summary:
As a Senior HR you will be far from one-dimensional. You’ll undertake a wide range of HR tasks, like designing and updating job descriptions, implementing training and development plans for company's employees, act as a consultant to new hires and help them onboard, collaborating with managers to identifying future hiring needs, preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating, and administering employee benefits, leaves and crafting HR policies. You will use Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. And you’ll also act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- HR Planning:
- Propose suitable HR policies & procedures to the company management in relation to his/her scope.
- Leads manpower planning activities in the company.
- Identifies and invites suitable service providers (benefits, manpower services …etc).
- Leads the annual budget activities as well as periodical forecasts.
- Participates in creating a “favourable employer” image for the company for job seekers, relevant governmental parties as well as labour related institutes/organizations.
- Establishes relevant benchmarks/KPIs for the company’s HR function.
- Manpower Planning & Recruitment:
Defines a Talent Sourcing strategy to align business and recruitment objectives.
- Participates with the CEO in designing the company’s manpower plan and staffing needs (taking into account line managers input, transfers, promotions…etc).
- Reviews recruitment needs within different departments and ensures compliance to the manpower plan.
- Manages external recruitment channels (job fairs, advertising, online portals…etc).
- Participates with line management in identifying the job specifications, including potential competencies & skills of each job role.
- Manages generating a pool of candidates through selection of effectively suitable recruitment sources & methods in order to source high quality candidates in a cost-effective manner.
- Manages the HR screening and preliminary interviews, as well as testing, short listing and assisting in selecting suitable candidates for the given job vacancies.
- Participates in the interviewing and selection of suitable candidates.
- Leads building a database of potential candidates for the business future needs.
- Compensation & Benefits and Employee Relations:
- Contributes to the development of new/existing compensation & benefits strategies through current data analysis and company’s future challenges.
- Manages payroll protocol and leads payroll implementation.
- Coordinates and deploys annual salary reviews, bonuses and incentive plans throughout the company.
- Identifies and implements benefits programs that increase the quality of life for employees.
- Manages personnel statutory affairs & systems; as well as maintain compliant and healthy relationships with relevant authorities with respect to labour law and social insurance.
- Performance Management:
- Introduces and supervises the company’s performance management system.
- Trains managers & employees on the performance management system & process.
- Designs and updates performance criteria and metrics.
- Provides administrative support to top management during the appraisal cycle.
- Training:
- Directs the needs assessment for training (TNA) and employee development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the company.
- Design the HR orientation and organize the Induction training package for new hires.
- Analyse the training evaluations, objectives and accomplishments in terms of employee performance.
- Report the overall training progress, Satisfaction and Budget tracking to the top management on quarterly basis.
